Home Upcoming Events Photos & Videos Edmonds High School - Class of 1958 "80th" Birthday Party – July 20, 2022 Edmonds City Park, Shelter #2 Wednesday, JULY 20, 2022: Forty classmates, their spouses and guests (making a total of 54 folks) had signed-up to gather at Shelter #2 in the Edmonds City Park to celebrate our "80th" birthdays.* Sadly, some of them were not able to attend as planned. Thanks to the committee, led by Sue (Embree) Hoekstra and Dorothy (Love) Nopson, colorful decorations drew attention to Shelter #2 and its festive tables with bright cloths and flowers. Coffee, tea and sweet stuffs were ready, with plenty of food on hand for later. A group photo, taken by Jan Hansen, was rushed to Walgreen's photo-print department while Bruce Grimstad and John Magnuson donned their guitars and sang a few songs. Birthday cake and ice cream were enjoyed and the photograph prints came back, unfortunately after some folks had already left. The remaining classmates each received a photo, and continued to relish the company of old friends. What a wonderful day! *Covid restrictions canceled two attempts at this event, planned first for 2020, then again in 2021, and finally now, in 2022 – affectionately called "Take Three"!
